April 19th

Gineth had a really great day in Base Camp today. She met one of her climbing heroes, Edurne Pasaban from Spain, the first woman to climb all 14 of the 8000 meter peaks. Gineth was walking around BC and saw her and said hello. Edurne asked where she was from, and invited her into her tent for some tea. They talked for about 40 minutes. Gineth was very honored to meet Edurne, who is considered the best female climber in the world. Edurne is climbing Everest this year without supplemental oxygen.
